Garments of Praise
Garment Care
First and foremost, remember that your worship garments are tools of ministry.  They belong to the Lord.  Treat them with the respect that the priestly costume deserves, and this attitude will be reflected in the anointing that rests upon your garments.  Putting on a dance costume signifies that your time and energy are set apart in service to the King.  That liberates you to dance as David danced (hopefully  not until your clothes fall off) with full power and passion.
We recommend hand washing and line drying for all of our garments.  Do not dry clean any garment with trim.  The trims are attached with fabric glues that are dissolved by dry cleaning fluid.  It is best to wash in cool water to avoid shrinking of delicate trims.  Iron with a relatively cool iron, and try to stay away from trimmed areas.  If you must iron a trimmed edge, do so from the inside of the garment.
If you are fortunate enough to have a dressing room of your own, remember that that room also is holy to the  Lord, and keep it in order.  People will judge the validity of your dance ministry not so much on the perfection of your pirouettes, but on the witness of your lives.  God also pays close attention to these details, not to judge and condemn us, but to prove our character and make us into HIs own image.  Be mindful, especially when you are representing Him in the dance, to live a life of honor.
